Tet Shi!

That’s Mayan for Hello, I’m a designer from Portland Oregon who spend most of my free time exploring both Portland and Vancouver. I’m usually found walking around with my Goldendoodle JiJi. If i’m not in town, I’m most likely swimming in the freezing water of the Oregon Coast. I keep my eye open for every possibility that comes my way; wether it be a trending designer, a new project, or an ice cream truck coming my way!

My interest in Graphic Design came from traveling to my parents home country Guatemala. Color is very important in my culture, Akateko because it is part of our language, and everyday lifestyle. The color that my people wear helps show what town we are from, the respect we have, and how we connect to earth. As I continue to grow my knowledge in Graphic Design I am inspired by different cultures and what colors mean to them.

I found my interest in motion design when I realized I spent a lot of time watching cartoon. Something about the way titles animated onto the screen, the exageration and the way animation tested the impossible, motivated me into challenging my creative mind.
